A Treasure Trove of Vintage Pieces

Calling all antique collectors and lovers of vintage interior design! We are excited to be hosting a special shopping event this month featuring one-of-a-kind treasures from the renowned Waldorf Astoria Hotel in New York City. Over 200 pieces of vintage furniture, including light fixtures, ornate mirrors, tables, lamps, sofas, and more can be found during this two-weekend event at Melrose Knitting Mill happening Thursday, December 10, through Sunday, December 13, 2020, and Thursday, December 17, through Sunday, December 20, 2020.

These unique pieces—some of which date back to the hotel opening in 1931 and were originally created in North Carolina—would add a great touch of class to any home or office space, and any guests of yours are sure to be thoroughly impressed when you tell them where they’re from and who has enjoyed them. If you’re still looking for a great holiday gift for a chic friend or family member, we guarantee you’ll find something worthy at this event!

Tickets to shop the collection are $20, with ticket sales and 10 percent of furniture sales benefitting The Green Chair Project, a Raleigh-based nonprofit organization that collects donated furnishings for people facing homelessness, crisis, or disaster. During the coronavirus pandemic, requests for furnishings have increased greatly and they need support more than ever.

Purchase a ticket for either weekend (or both!) and get an exclusive preview of the event from December 10 through 13, 2020. In light of social distancing, a maximum of 10 guests will be welcomed into the showroom during one-hour ticketed intervals during the preview weekend, and some pieces will also be offered online after the event.

After the preview weekend, make an appointment for a private showing between 11 a.m. and 6 p.m., daily. Showings can be requested online at melroseknittingmillraleigh.com/book-a-tour.
